Sensoria - House of fragrances and flavours celebrates its opening!

Smell. Taste. Rediscover.

Sensoria showcases the fascinating world of fragrances and flavours. The interactive exhibition house for smelling and tasting, the only one of its kind in Europe, opens on 28 September 2024 in the city of scents and flavours - Holzminden.

In the world of experience, you will learn everything about smelling and tasting. The fragrant and tasty products of everyday life are presented in all their facets, the raw materials of perfumery and stories full of flavours from all over the world awaken the senses.
You can explore your favourite treats at the digital snack machine and put together your favourite perfume at the fragrance organ before letting your gaze wander over the old town and the Weser from the roof garden. Curious? Then follow your nose!
On 28 and 29 September, the time has finally come: the opening weekend offers the first opportunity to get a taste of the museum with reduced admission (adults EUR 10 and children EUR 3) and two free guided tours per day.
You can capture your visit to the world of fragrances and flavours with a picture from the photo box, while music and culinary delights add to the feast for the senses.

Saturday offers the opportunity to take part in a scent rally through the city centre and win a voucher for Sensoria - House of Fragrances and Flavours. In addition, the trades involved in the creation of Sensoria will be presenting themselves and showing insights behind the façade.
Sunday is all about the family. Young and old can follow in the footsteps of Dr Wilhelm Haarmann - who laid the foundations for the fragrance and flavour industry in Holzminden - on a city rally, and little explorers can put their fine nose and good taste to the test in hands-on experiments.
