Hungry Eyes

Food Photography

smell, hear, feel

Until 31 October 2026, Sensoria presents the special exhibition Hungry Eyes – smell, hear, feel: food photography by Ellis Parrinder. Powerful images meet scent, sound and touch. Sensoria turns photography into a sensory experience for eyes, nose, ears and hands.

Smell, hear, feel

With Hungry Eyes, seeing alone is not enough. The photographs are enriched with additional sensory layers. One image can be smelled, another becomes audible – a third can be experienced through touch. The result is an exhibition that opens up photography in a new way: surprising, intense and sensory – unmistakably Sensoria.

The Visual Language of Ellis Parrinder

Ellis Parrinder stages food. His work is defined by a powerful visual language, clear compositions and a subtle sense of humour. Using bold colours, precise lighting and often unexpected perspectives, he transforms everyday food into visual statements. His images engage with the genre of classical still life and break with conventional expectations – striking a perfect balance between modern, sensory and playful.
