‘An evening for the senses’
Sensoria - the house of fragrances and flavours opens its doors for the first time on 28 September. To mark the opening, the Friends and Supporters of Sensoria e.V. are presenting an ‘Evening for the Senses’ in the Holzminden Town Hall.
A unique and sensorial experience will be offered in the Holzminden town hall: a music programme will be combined with scents, taste sensations, images and lights to create a total piece of art.
Local and regional music clubs and groups, solists and artists from the national cultural scene will be involved.
The evening is split into two parts:
World premiere of Sinfonia Sensoria op.40, a symphony that tells the story of vanilla and Holzminden, accompanied by solists and orchestras from the region as well as choirs and music lovers from Holzminden.
The second part of the evening is organised as a musical journey through the world: music groups from Indonesia and Brazil stimulate the sense of hearing anew with various instruments and dive into the musical world of other cultures. A gamelan group and Tudo Azul, award winner at Summerjazz Pinneberg 2023, finalist at ‘Future Sounds’ 2021, both from Hanover, have already confirmed their participation.
These groups will be supported by the evening's performers, who will present their own interpretations of classical music, jazz and musicals as a sensual potpourri.
Tickets at 30 euros each are available from 15 August at the Tourist-Info Holzminden, Markt 2. Reservations can be made at kontakt@foerderkreis-sensoria.de.
Tickets go on sale on 15 August.
